Try and Try Again

To start, pardon me for this very confusing and boring entry.

You know, for many academic journals, it usually starts off with the author's hypothesis on a theory, and then moving on to do a study or experiment to justify the hypothesis, and would usually end off either saying that the study proves the theory right or wrong. And at times, the conclusion would also state that the theory is neither right nor wrong, but perhaps should be modified a little. Why the mention of all this boring theory stuff? Well, I just experienced it in real life, in a different context of course.

People always say that 'if at first you fail, try and try again. One day you will succeed'. This usually works, or is usually the best recommended advice for working. But after my so called 'experiment' through some life experience, I would like to correct this 'theory'. It should be 'if at first you fail, try and try again. But if there is a nearing deadline, and if you keep trying and failing, then you will most probably never succeed'.

I shall name this, Jeremy's Theory of Dreaded Deadlines. Trying, and trying, and trying ...
